As you may know, Hope for the Inner City strives to provide economic empowerment tools for low-income families and individuals in East Chattanooga.
A majority of the people that Hope for the Inner City serves pays more than 50% of their income on housing costs alone. This creates hardship throughout the holiday season and makes it difficult for individuals to purchase gifts for their families.
We want to empower low-income families by providing an affordable option for them to purchase gifts for their children and families. Each December we host an Annual Christmas Store. The Christmas Store is designed to offer an affordable opportunity for families to purchase new toys, bikes, electronics, and winter clothing at far below retail value.
To provide this service, we rely on the generosity of our donors and community members to provide toys and gifts that will be sold at the store. This year, we are celebrating our first-ever Christmas in July to stock our shelves!
We want to ask you to participate and partner with us to provide toys and goods for East Chattanooga families this year!
So, how can you take part in Christmas in July?
-
Host a toy drive in your business. We will provide a box and fliers, you just provide a space for the box to live and collect toys throughout the month of July!
-
Mail a check or donate online to our Christmas Store. You can mail a check to P.O. Box 11854 Chattanooga, TN 37401, or donate below!
-
Donate Gift Cards. You can donate gift cards for us to sell at our Christmas store or gift cards that we can utilize to purchase items for our Christmas Store.
-
Donate non-perishable food and/or drink items to Hope for the Inner City. Throughout the Christmas Store, we feed the individuals who come through our store.
